A PiggyBack Forklift is a truck mounted forklift invented by Princeton Delivery Systems about 30 years ago. They are attach to trucks for easy transport and can be lowered and ready without the use of ramps or tilt trucks. They tend to be smaller Forklifts which help them maneuver easily.
The forklift that we are familiar with today was originally developed by several companies simultaneously, including Clark and Yale. The forklift today comes in many shapes and sizes depending upon the use called for. PiggyBack Forklifts are manufactured by Princeton Delivery Systems. Other manufactures produce similar types of Forklifts.
